The accessible TV guide on channel 555 provides enhanced navigation and filtering for viewers with accessibility needs.

Here's what you can do with it

Text-to-speech: Customisable voice options for navigation
Programme filtering: Find shows with audio description, subtitles, or sign language
Enhanced information: Clear accessibility symbols and details

How to begin

  1. Go to channel 555 on your BetterTV device

  2. You'll see options for Text-to-Speech which allows customise how audio description and screen reading is delivered and Programme Filters

  3. You can choose your preferred speech voice (male or female) and press Done to save

  4. The programme list on each channel, depending on the options selected earlier, will now show what programmes best suit your needs.

Customisation options

Audio description voice: Choose male or female voice
Reading speed: Adjust how fast text is read aloud
Programme filters: Show only programmes with AD, subtitles (S), or sign language (SL)

Understanding symbols

AD - Audio description available
S - Subtitles available
SL - Sign language interpretation available
