Text and Display:

  • Text Scaling: Adjust the size of the text on your screen to make it easier to read.

  • Bold Text: Make text on your TV bolder to improve its visibility.

  • Colour Correction: This feature helps people with colour blindness by adjusting the colours on the screen. It can be found under Settings > Accessibility > Colour Correction.

Audio Descriptions: For programmes that support it, this feature provides an audio track that describes key visual elements of the on-screen action, making it easier to follow a show without needing to see the screen clearly. You can enable it under Settings > Accessibility > Audio Description.

Available Accessibility Features

Does Freely offer accessibility features?

Freely is committed to ensuring everyone can enjoy TV. The platform has a dedicated Accessible TV Guide and supports key features for sight and hearing needs. You can also enable certain accessibility aspects via Freely's mini guide or keys on your remote control.

Accessible TV Guide

This specialised guide is designed with high contrast for easy reading and simplifies navigation. It can be found on a dedicated channel number (check your Freely TV Guide for the exact number, often no. 555) where you can set your preferred viewing filters.

Once in the Accessible TV Guide, you can choose settings to:

  • Show only programmes with subtitles (S).

  • Show only programmes with audio description (AD).

  • Show only programmes with sign language (SL).
