Control access to devices connected to your router during certain times of the day by applying Time Control rules.

By applying Time Control rules, you can control when and how long devices connected to your router can access the internet. This is helpful should you want to restrict how long your children's Xbox or PlayStation has access to the internet or if you would like to limit access to their mobile phone at night.

It's possible to enforce time-based access restrictions on devices on the home network if you are using the Technicolor DGA0122.

This is done from within the router management page.

  1. To access the router management page, open a web browser and type "192.168.1.1" (unless you've customised the address).

  2. Hover over the label "Devices". Click on the COG which will appear in the top right corner.

  3. Log in with your admin credentials which can be found at the bottom of the router.

  4. You'll now see a screen listing all connected devices. If available, device hostnames will be displayed for easier identification.

  5. Select "Time Control" found just below the title "Devices".

  6. Once you're in "Time Control" select "Add New Rule".

  7. To create a new rule, select the device you wish to apply the rule to.

  8. Then select the rule, in other words, Allow or Deny. Due to the timing convention enforced by the router if you wish to deny a device access from the evening until the next morning you must "Allow" the device for the time you want to it to have access.
In the example below the mobile device, OnePlus 8T is unable to use the internet between 10pm and 6am.

  9. Once done, click the save button. Your rule will now be displayed.

  10. If you wish to add more rules to either this device or other devices simply select "Add New Rule"
