If an app is freezing, crashing, or not loading correctly, it can usually be fixed with a few simple troubleshooting steps.
1. Close the app and re-open it
The simplest solution is to close the app and try opening it again. From the Apps screen, navigate to the app, press and hold the OK button, and select More Info. From there, you can choose Force stop.
2. Restart your PLEIO puck
A quick restart can resolve many minor software glitches.
Unplug the power cable from the back of your PLEIO puck.
Wait for 30 seconds.
Plug the power cable back in.

Clearing an app's cache and data can fix performance issues without affecting your sign-in details (clearing cache) or will require you to sign back in (clearing data).
Go to Settings > System Settings > Apps.

Trouble Logging into Apps
Trouble Logging into Apps
Why can't I log in to a catch-up player app?
If you are having trouble signing in to a specific player app (such as BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4, or 5), follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Step 1: Check Your Login Details
The most common issue is a simple mistake in your password or email.
Case Sensitivity: Double-check that you are not using Caps Lock by mistake, as passwords are case-sensitive.
Forgotten Password: If you can’t remember your password, you must use the player's own system to reset it. Visit the app's website on a phone or computer, select 'Forgot Password,' and follow the email instructions. Netgem PLEIO does not hold these passwords.
Step 2: Check for Software Updates
An outdated app or TV system can sometimes cause login failures.
Player Apps: These should update automatically. If you suspect an issue, check the Google Play Store for any pending updates for the affected app.
PLEIO System: Go to Settings, Help, and select 'Update Services' to make sure your PLEIO puck has the latest software.
Step 3: Check Your Internet Connection
A weak or unstable connection can prevent the app from communicating with its server.
Test Other Apps: Try opening a completely different app, like YouTube or a game. If that also fails, the problem is with your Wi-Fi.
Restart: Unplug your Wi-Fi router for five minutes, and then restart your PLEIO puck to refresh the connection. To restart the PLEIO puck simply press and hold the power button on the remote until the option appears on-screen.
Reset App Passwords
Reset App Passwords
How do I reset the password of a catch-up player?
Freely links to catch-up player apps like BBC iPlayer, ITVX, and Channel 4, which use their own login details. If you forget your password for any of these apps, you must reset it directly through the player's system.
How to Reset Your Password
Open the relevant player app on your PLEIO puck (e.g., BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4, etc.).
Look for the Sign In or Settings section within that app.
Select the Forgot Password or Reset Password option.
The app will usually send a password reset link to the email address you used to register with that player.
Note: Freely does not hold your individual player app passwords, so the reset must be done through the app's owner (BBC, ITV, Channel 4, etc.).
