Can I upgrade or downgrade my broadband speed?

That depends if you're on a fixed contract or on a month-to-month contract.

Fixed Contract Customers (eg. 18 or 24-month contracts)

If you're on a fixed contract, you will not be able to downgrade your service, however, you are free to upgrade it at any time.

Once processed, your upgrade will be immediate and a pro-rata amount for the value of the new service for the remainder of your billing cycle will be added to your next bill. Thereafter you will be charged the new fee each month.

If you are in a free promo period, you won't be able to change your service during the free promo period. Once you are out of your free promo period you are free to upgrade your BetterNet speed.

How to Upgrade your BetterNet Service:

  1. Simply log in to the brsk portal here.

  2. Select the Orders & Services tab.
    ​

  3. Click on the Upgrade / Downgrade Service button.

  4. Select the new service you would like to upgrade to and click Save Changes.

Month-to-Month Customers

If you're on a month-to-month contract, you have the flexibility to upgrade and downgrade your broadband speed as and when you choose. Your upgrade will come into effect right away and a pro-rata fee for the remainder of the billing cycle will be added to your next bill. Thereafter you will be charged the new fee each month.


You can choose to downgrade your speed at any point in time during your billing cycle, however, the speed downgrade and price adjustment will only take place on the day of your next bill. For example, if you are billed on the 16th of the month and you choose to downgrade your package on the 5th of the month, your new speed and the new price will only come into effect on the 16th.
