Format your USB (on Windows):
Insert your USB stick into your computer
Right-click the USB drive and select 'Format'
Choose 'NTFS' as the file system and tick 'Quick Format'
Click 'Start' and wait for the 'Format complete' message
Click 'OK' and safely remove the USB
Set up recording on your BetterTV device:
Insert the formatted USB into the USB port on the back of your device
Turn on your BetterTV device
Select 'Initialise' when the notification appears
Your USB is now ready for recording

We recommend SanDisk USB sticks for reliable recording performance. Other compatible brands work too, but SanDisk offers the best experience with your BetterTV device.

Your recordings are stored directly on your USB stick and can be found in the 'Recordings' menu on your BetterTV device.
Important notes:
Recordings can only be watched on the device where they were recorded
Hard disk drives (HDDs) cannot be used for recording
Make sure your USB has enough space for your recordings
