Our engineers are trained to do standard fibre installations. They will assess and then agree on the best route to install the fibre cable from the closest telephone pole or underground chamber (outside your property) to a central point inside your home.

Sometimes certain obstacles lie between you and full fibre broadband:

  • Please make sure that there is a clear route inside your home for the cable to run. Our engineers are on a tight schedule and cannot move your furniture around or help you unpack that bookshelf you've been meaning to dust for 5 years ;).

  • Be reasonable - if 30 metres of trenching is required to get the fibre from the street into your home, we will need to make special arrangements and charge you accordingly.

  • If the existing telecommunications ducts in your home are blocked or damaged, this may prevent us from being able to complete the installation.

We have had instances where an installation could not be completed because a customer's internal plumbing pipes were squashing the telecommunications ducts - unfortunately, we are not plumbers and cannot re-route sewerage pipes!

If there is a need for a non-standard installation to take place, we may need to charge an additional fee. Estimates for the non-standard installation will be discussed and agreed upon with you before the installation takes place.
