Why set up a guest WiFi network?
This will allow you to give visiting friends and family access to your home WiFi without giving them access to any of the devices on your network (such as smart TVs, smart speakers, printers, network file storage etc).

To enable a guest WiFi network, follow the steps below:

  1. Ensure your phone or computer is connected to the Brsk router, ideally with an ethernet cable. This can be done over WiFi, but, you may lose connection when making changes to the WiFi settings.

  2. In your browser, go to your gateway address. This is usually http://192.168.1.1/

  3. Press "Sign in" at the top right of the page.

  4. Log in using the below username and password (this may be different if you have already changed your username and password).

    1. Username: admin

    2. Password: This is the Access Key on the sticker on the underside of your router.

  5. Hover your mouse over "Wireless, then press the cog

  6. A new page will open. Under the Networks tab, press "Guest".

  7. Change State to "On".

  8. Change the SSID and Wireless Password to whatever you like, or you can keep this as the default.

  9. Press "Save".

  10. Wait a minute or two and the guest network should now show up in your list of WiFi networks.

What if I want to set up a guest WiFi network but I've already handed out my WiFi password to my friends?

In this case, you can change the password of your main network which will stop anyone connecting with the old password. You will need to reconnect all of your existing devices again though.

I have an Icotera router, can I set up a guest network on that?

Unfortunately, the Icotera routers don't currently support guest WiFi networks.
