How do I fix buffering and/or poor picture quality?

Updated this week

Buffering and a drop in picture quality are often caused by a slow or inconsistent internet connection. As PLEIO streams content directly over Wi-Fi, a stable connection is key.

1. Restart your router

This is the most common fix. Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. Wait for all the lights to become stable before using your PLEIO puck.

2. Check your Wi-Fi signal

Make sure your PLEIO puck is getting a strong Wi-Fi signal. If your router is far away or there are many walls in between, the signal may be weak. Consider moving the puck closer to the router or using a Wi-Fi booster.

3. Reduce network congestion

Your internet bandwidth is shared among all the devices in your home. Close any other apps, games, or streaming services that are running on other devices to free up bandwidth for your TV.
