If you're experiencing speed issues, there are a couple of things you can do to try to resolve this.
Reboot both the router and ONT ( device mounted on the wall).
Check that the fibre cable coming from the outside is securely connected to the ONT as well as the ethernet cable connecting the ONT and router.
We then recommend that you use a downloadable app to test your speed
- speedtest.net provides an app for most platforms for this purpose.
Head to https://www.speedtest.net/apps for more information about downloading the speed test app for your device.
Once you have downloaded the speed test app onto your phone or desktop, open your App and Click 'GO' to begin the test."
Browser-based speed tests are rarely able to keep up with ultrafast providers so be sure to use the app for more accurate results.

Checklist for running a speed test:
This should be done with a device that is connected directly into the router with a cable and not over the WiFi.
Preferably using a laptop or desktop, stay away from other devices such as a gaming consoles.
If you are using a laptop, ensure that the power cable is plugged in and that you are not running on battery saver mode.
If possible, run a speed test on more than one device whilst plugged into the router. This is to check whether the issue is only on one device or a general problem on the internet.
If you experience issues when making use of the WiFi only, this could be an indication that there is a coverage issue within your home.
Please take a look at this article for further assistance.
If you experience issues on a particular website only, this could be an indication that the website itself is slow or experiencing high traffic or other issues which are slowing it down, and it is not related to your broadband.
