Blurry picture on live content is not always common but we understand how annoying it can be when it is. We’ve summed up the most common causes below:

Signal

If your Better TV device is not producing its usual first-class service, it is probably due to a weak signal. Especially disruptive weather (wind, rain and snow) can play a big part in affecting the quality of your viewing experience, which is why we recommend retuning your device. Please note that you can check the signal quality and strength by carrying out the following steps:

1) Make sure that you play the channel you are experiencing signal issues with. Then, press the home key to return to the FreeviewPlay menu

5) On the bottom-right corner, you will find the quality and strength listed. Usually, quality should be close to 100% for the best image and strength around 75%

Equipment Control

Make sure all wires are properly working, inserted correctly and functioning well. If possible, place your device a good distance away from other electricals such as DVD players and games consoles. There can be signal interference with all devices close together and it is best to space them apart where possible.
