Whether your internet needs have changed or you're planning a temporary break, we've made it easy to modify your service to match your lifestyle.


Changing your broadband speed package

Your speed-changing options depend on your contract type.

If you're on a fixed contract (18 or 24 months):

You can increase your speed anytime, but reducing your speed isn't available during fixed contracts. This helps us keep your monthly costs predictable throughout your contract term.

Increasing your speed: Changes happen immediately once processed. You'll see a pro-rata charge on your next bill for the speed difference for the rest of your current billing cycle. After that, you'll pay the new monthly rate.

If you're on a month-to-month contract:

You have complete flexibility to change your speed whenever you like.

Increasing speed: Takes effect immediately with a pro-rata charge for the current billing cycle, then your new monthly rate begins.

Reducing speed: Changes take effect on your next billing date, not immediately. For example, if your bill date is the 16th and you request a speed reduction on the 5th, the change and new pricing start on the 16th.

How to change your speed:

  1. Log into your brsk customer portal

  2. Select the "Orders & Services" tab

  3. Click "Upgrade / Downgrade" Service

  4. Choose your new speed package and click "Save Changes"

Special note: If you're currently enjoying a free promotional period, speed changes aren't available until your promotional period ends. Once you start paying your regular monthly fee, you can then increase your speed if needed.

Pausing your service temporarily

Going away for a while? Here are your options for managing your service.

Fixed contract customers (18 or 24 months):

Unfortunately, pausing isn't available on fixed contracts. Your monthly payments continue throughout your contract term to maintain your guaranteed rate and service level.

Alternative options:

  • Consider if friends or family could use your service while you're away

  • Remember your service will be ready and waiting when you return

  • Contact us if you're facing exceptional circumstances - we're here to help

Month-to-month contract customers:

You have the flexibility to pause your service by cancelling and reactivating when you return.

How it works:

  • Give us at least one month's notice before you want to pause

  • Contact cancellations@brsk.co.uk or 02039 255 299 to arrange this

  • Your service stops on your chosen date

  • When you're ready to return, contact us to reactivate

  • There's no charge to restart your service
