Cancellation & Contract Term

When you need to end your brsk service.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

We understand that circumstances change and sometimes you need to cancel your broadband service. This section covers everything about ending your brsk contract.

How to cancel your brsk service

Ready to cancel? Here's how to end your brsk service properly.

To cancel your service: Contact our cancellations team who will guide you through the process and ensure everything is handled correctly.

Get in touch:

What happens when you cancel: Our team will confirm your cancellation date, explain any final charges, and arrange for service disconnection. You'll receive written confirmation of your cancellation and final bill details.

Equipment return: The brsk fibre connection box (ONT box) must stay with the property - you don't need to return it. We will send you a returns package to send us back the router.

Final steps:

  • Your service stops on the agreed cancellation date

  • Final bill issued for any remaining charges

  • Account closure confirmation sent to you

Changed your mind? Contact us quickly if you decide you want to keep your service - we may be able to reverse the cancellation if it hasn't been processed yet.

Do I need to give a cancellation notice?

Yes - you must give us at least one full month's notice before cancelling.

How notice periods work: If you want to cancel on March 15th, you must contact us by February 15th at the latest. This ensures you won't be charged for service beyond your intended cancellation date.

Why we need notice: This notice period helps us manage our network efficiently and ensures your final billing is accurate. It also gives you time to arrange alternative broadband if needed.

What if you don't give enough notice: You may be charged for an additional month's service. We understand this can be frustrating, but the notice period is part of your contract terms.

Contract renewal and end-of-terms options

Your contract is ending - here are your options for what happens next.

About 30 days before your contract ends: We'll contact you to discuss your options and what you'd like to do next. You're not obligated to continue, but we'd love to keep providing your broadband.

Your options at contract end:

  • Renew with a new contract: Lock in great price rates for another term

  • Continue month-to-month: Keep your service with monthly flexibility

  • Change your package: Switch speeds or add/remove services

If you do nothing: Most contracts automatically continue on a month-to-month basis at standard pricing. You'll have full flexibility to make changes or cancel with just one month's notice.

Benefits of renewing: New contracts often come with promotional pricing, rate guarantees, or additional benefits. We'll let you know all available options when we contact you.

Keeping BetterWifi after cancelling BetterNet

No, you can't. Your BetterWiFi service is a bolt-on to your BetterNet product and is therefore not a standalone offering.

This means that when you cancel your BetterNet service, BetterWiFi is automatically cancelled too.

Once cancelled we will require you to return your BetterWiFi equipment.

Early cancellation fees and minimum terms

Understanding the costs of cancelling before your contract ends.

When early cancellation fees apply: If you cancel your fixed-term contract (18 or 24 months) before it ends, you'll need to pay an early cancellation fee. This fee covers the remaining months of your contract commitment.

How fees are calculated: Early cancellation fees are typically calculated as your monthly service charge multiplied by the number of months remaining on your contract.
