WiFi acting up? Work through these steps in order - most issues are resolved quickly with these simple checks.
Quick Diagnostic: Check the Basics First
Quick Diagnostic: Check the Basics First
1. Is your mesh node powered on?
Check the power switch on the back is pressed in
Confirm the power cable is securely connected
Make sure the wall socket is working
Look for any lights on your mesh node
2. Check for obvious changes Ask yourself: "What's different since my WiFi was working well?"
Has your router or mesh node been moved?
Are there new objects blocking the signal (metal furniture, electronics)?
Have you added new devices to your network?
If you've identified changes, try reverting them before continuing.
Check Signal Strength
Check Signal Strength
For Technicolor systems (black router with white mesh): Check the light on top of your mesh node:
Green: Excellent signal, no action needed
Orange: Acceptable signal, move closer to router if possible
Red: Poor signal, definitely move mesh AP closer to router
For Icotera systems (white router and mesh): Double-press the WiFi button on your mesh node side:
Green: Excellent signal
Blue: The signal is too strong and it can be moved further away from the router.
Yellow: The signal is low but should be stable. Move it closer to your router if you need faster speeds.
Purple: Poor signal, move the mesh closer to your router
For Brsk Boosters (WiFi 7 system): Check dashboard at http://192.168.1.1:
Go to WiFi Mesh > Overview
Check signal quality indicators:
Green (80-100%): Excellent
Blue (60-79%): Good
Yellow (40-59%): Fair - move closer if possible
Red (Below 40%): Poor - relocate immediately
