All you need to know about setting up your TP-Link router

Setting up your TP-Link Router

Our engineers will set up your Brsk equipment during installation. However, if you ever need to do this yourself, follow these steps:

Connect the Ethernet cable:

  • Plug one end into the “ETHERNET” port on the Line Box.

  • Plug the other end into the “WAN” port on the TP-Link router.

Power up devices

  • Plug in the power cables and switch on both the Line Box and the router.

Check the indicators:

  • The “yellow” data light on the Line Box and the blue/green Wireless, Internet, Broadband, and Status lights on the router indicate your service is live.


Log in to your TP-Link router

  1. Connect to the router via Wi-Fi or Ethernet.

  2. Open a web browser and enter: http://192.168.0.1/.

  3. If prompted, create a secure password to access the settings.


Change your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) & password on TP-Link


To change your WiFi name and password on the TP-Link router, download our Aginet App.

Option 1: Using the Aginet App

  • Connect to your Wi-Fi and open the Aginet app.

  • Tap ‘More’ > ‘Wi-Fi Settings’.

  • Enter your new network name and password, then save.

Option 2: Using the Web Interface

  • Go to 192.168.0.1 in your browser.

  • If prompted, create a login password.

  • Navigate to ‘Basic’ > ‘Wireless’.

  • Update your SSID and password, then save.


Connect to your TP-Link router

You can connect through Wi-Fi or Ethernet.

Connecting Over Wi-Fi:

Using a Password:

  1. Ensure the Internet Light is On:

    • Make sure the internet light on your Wi-Fi router is blue/green.

  2. Select Your Network:

    • Go to "Settings" > "Wi-Fi" on your device and select the Wi-Fi connection named “TP-Link_XXXXX.

    • Enter the password found on the sticker on the underside of your router or the set password.

Using WPS:

  1. Enable WPS:

    • Briefly press the WPS button on the back of your router. The WPS LED will start blinking.

  2. Connect Your Device:

    • Within two minutes, activate WPS on your device, either by pressing the WPS button or selecting your Wi-Fi connection from available networks.

  3. Wait for Connection:

    • The WPS LED will stop blinking once the connection is established.

Connecting Over Ethernet:

  1. Use an Ethernet Cable:

    • Plug an Ethernet cable into one of the yellow LAN ports on the router and connect it to your device for a wired connection.


Connect your TP-Link router to the Aginet app

You TP-Link router can be managed using the TP-Link Aginet app, follow these simple steps to get started:

  • From your the App store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) on your smartphone, search TP-Link Aginet and download the app to your device.

  • Make sure your phone is connected to the Wi-Fi network broadcast by your TP-Link router. The app requires a connection to the router for management.

  • Launch the Aginet app on your smartphone.

  • On the home screen, select “Manage This Network.”


Reset your TP-Link router


If you need to reset your TP-Link router, follow these steps to ensure a successful reset:

  1. Locate the Reset Button: Find the reset pinhole button at the back of the router, next to the power port

  2. Press and Hold the Reset Button:

    • Use a pen or a thin object to hold the button down for 5-10 seconds.

    • Watch for the power light to start flashing, indicating that the reset process has begun.

  3. Wait for the Router to Reboot:

    • Release the button and wait for about 5-10 minutes while the router resets and reboots.

Your TP-Link router will now be reset to its factory settings.


Connect TP-Link router to your Home Phone


To use your brsk BetterPhone (VoIP) service, you’ll need to connect your home phone (analog phone) directly to your brsk router. Here’s how to do it with your TP-Link router:

  1. Look for the two green phone ports at the back of your router, labelled Phone 1 and Phone 2.

  2. Insert the RJ11 adapter into Phone 1.

  3. Plug your home phone into the adapter.

  4. That’s it—your phone’s ready to use.
