Will my devices work with Wi-Fi 7?
Will my devices work with Wi-Fi 7?
The latest devices (2023 onwards) are built to work on Wi-Fi 7, so you’ll feel the benefits immediately. If you have older phones, tablets, TVs, or smart gadgets, they’re still compatible with your Hub, but may won’t recognise the Wi-Fi 7 signal.
Here's why:
Older hardware doesn’t have the latest parts that understand Wi-Fi 7.
Different security rules - Wi-Fi 7 uses an upgraded security system called WPA3; older devices will only recognise WPA2.
New frequency bands – Wi-Fi 7 introduces a new, faster lane for data (6 GHz). Older devices use 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz lanes, so they will only be able to see those.

When you plug in your Hub, it will receive a software update to enable the ‘_legacy’ Wi-Fi network (SSID), which will support your older devices.
Go to your device’s Wi-Fi settings menu and select the network that includes ‘_legacy’ in the name to connect to.
Enter the password (Wi-Fi Key) found on the back of your Hub.
